Position
You will be responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out the duties of supervisor which involves rock bolting, belt line reclamation and various other mining related tasks.
This position is based on 7 days on/7 days off shift schedule at 12 hours per shift; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime.
This position will be located at Rocanville, SK.
Job Duties
- Supervise five to eight person crews in all aspects of underground mine operations.
- Captures, validates and records data from shift production.
- The position requires that the person have the requisite knowledge, background, training and experience to safely oversee underground work including rock bolting and belt line reclamation.
- Assists the crew in troubleshooting / identifying equipment or process problems and develops solutions / plans to correct.
Qualifications
- Mine Supervision experience
- Ticket to supervise underground as per current Saskatchewan Mine Regulation
- Ground Control experience required
- Mechanically inclined
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Detailed and goal oriented
- Problem-solving, time management and risk management skills are imperative
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership skills
- Values safety, health and a positive working environment
- Works well under pressure
- Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required
