 KDM Constructors L.P is a construction and maintenance company created in partnership with three Saskatchewan First Nation Communities. Our company is able to reinforce the trusted relationships individually built by each community to progress forward collectively. 

Position 

Reporting to the Site Managers, you will work as the team lead for the Warehouse Department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations assuring all safety procedures are met on a daily basis. 

This position will be based on a 8/6 shift schedule, 10 hours/day; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime when needed and hours may change based on the client’s requirements. 

This position will be located at BHP Mine Site – Jansen, SK. This is a camp-based position. Jansen Discovery Lodge at BHP is a state-of-the-art camp that includes the following: full-service cafeteria, housekeeping, gym with a raised running track, library, and theatre. 

Job Duties

  • Supervise all daily activities of the warehouse including; shipping, receiving, offloading, maintenance, and inventory control. 
  • Lead by example to ensure all procedures and best practices are followed. 
  • Promote Environmental, Health and Safety by ensuring all warehouse team members are following all safety standards. 
  • Coordinate offloading of transport trucks delivering freight to the mine site; 
  • Organize delivery of materials & goods requested by departments and contractors; 
  • Ensure exceptional housekeeping is maintained in warehouse and laydown areas. 
  • Maintain positive and professional relations with client and all key stakeholders. 

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Warehouse Management and logistics 
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a supervisory role within the Construction Industry required 
  • Intermediate computer knowledge required 
  • Working knowledge of SAP software & Site Sense software programs is an asset 
  • Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
