Position
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Underground Sanitation Technician will oversee cleaning procedures and all sanitation service requirements.
This part-time position will be based on 20-30 hours/week. This schedule may be subject to change based on the needs of the client.
This position will be located at Nutrien Cory Mine Site and Nutrien Allan Mine Site.
Job Duties
- Using the slurry tank system, remove all human waste from the underground toilets to the
surface dumping station designated by Nutrien Allan Division, either the Allan site lagoon
or the City of Saskatoon disposal station.
- Remove and properly dispose of any additional associated garbage in the lavatories.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces including; touch points, sinks, toilets and interior and exterior of cubicles.
- Keep sufficient consumables supplied in all lavatories.
- Additional tasks related to toilet servicing may be requested as required and mutually
agreed to such as relocation of existing toilets, hauling new toilets to location, maintenance,
repairs of existing toilet facilities and using slurry tank system to pump out underground sumps.
- EnviroLAV Standard operating instructions must be followed for all MineArc – EnviroLAV
facilities pertaining to the maintenance, cleaning, and waste removal of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Current valid Driver’s license
- All personnel are required to complete a Nutrien surface and underground orientation
- Current drug & alcohol test results must be provided and maintained
- All personnel must have WHMIS training
- All personnel must have General Mine Safety Awareness training
