Position
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will perform duties in a safe and appropriate manner working in a team environment. You will be responsible for performing general laboring tasks. As a labourer, you will also be required to follow all policies and procedures.
This position is a non-union position and will be a 14/7 shift schedule, working 10-hour days. The candidate must be willing to work overtime as required.
This position will be located near Bethune/Lumsden SK.
Job Duties
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- General cleanup
- Material and tool inventory & logging
- Material and part runs
- Fire watch & confined space monitoring
- Spotting, fueling equipment, etc.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action
- Manual labour tasks such as shoveling, pumping water, hauling materials.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have;
- Knowledge of basic equipment and safe operation of tools
- 5A Driver’s License
- Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in labour intensive conditions
- Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required.
