Position

Reporting to Project Manager, South East Construction LP, you will be responsible for project construction activities from proposal methodology to turnover completion. This position will be based out of Saskatoon area, along with work opportunities in the Northern mines. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist estimating team with proposal labour units, equipment, and execution methodology.
  • Upon award, finalize the project execution plan including labour resourcing, scheduling, material and equipment procurement. 
  • Appropriate allocation of trade resources to the works
  • Preparing resources for project workload, including proper job certifications to meet project parameters
  • Ensure daily field presence, including client walks.
  • Track field data in unit measures for quantity reporting & work with scheduler to update progress and project sequence.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety amongst all construction projects.
  • Prepare or delegate daily project reporting and submission to the client.
  • Prepare/review daily time sheets and hour tracking by code for schedule reporting requirements and budget tracking.
  • Maintain and liaise with clients, building professional relationships.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required by the project.
  • Work with vendors on collection and submission of data sheets.
  • Work with Project Controls regarding change management providing labour, equipment, material, and scheduling input.
  • Preparation of Requests for Information (RFI) with appropriate resolution and backup information.
  • Employee mentorship for up-and-coming leaders.
  • Subcontractor onboarding, alignment, and execution of work scope.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities provided by employer.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Endorsement in specific trade preferred
  • Industrial construction experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere, alongside clients
  • Knowledge in all construction disciplines an asset
  • Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing, and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to think critically and make independent decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the English language
  • Microsoft suite abilities 
  • Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative and be a team player
  • Computer literacy is a must
