Position
Reporting to the General Foreman, you will operate equipment following all policies and procedures and legislation required to operate the equipment safely. You will be responsible for operating and basic maintenance of the equipment while on the job site.
This position will be based on a Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, shiftwork schedule; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime during the winter months to accommodate snow removal at site.
This position will be located at Mosaic K3, Esterhazy, SK.
Job Duties
- Operate a variety of equipment (grader, loader, skid-steer and telehandler);
- Spot equipment as required;
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances;
- Complete workplace inspections on a regular basis, pre and post operating of equipment;
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to the General Foreman in order to facilitate corrective action;
- Complete Work Orders and Field Level Risk Assessment Cards, following Core / Mosaic K3 standards; and
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding any site deficiencies.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in operating equipment
- Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance
- Heavy Equipment Certificate is an asset
- Industrial mining experience preferred
- Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be open and flexible to change and take initiative
- Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required
